UFC returns to Adelaide in 2018

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has confirmed Adelaide will host Fight Night 142 at the end of this year.

The fight card will take place on Sunday, December 2, at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

This will be the first time the event has returned to Adelaide in three years, with the fights yet to be confirmed.

However, Australian UFC standouts expected to fight in December include heavyweight Tai Tuivasa, light heavyweight Tyson Pedro, welterweight Jake Matthews and featherweight Alexander Volkanovski.

UFC senior vice president David Shaw said fans could expect to see big names.

“For us to get back to Adelaide after a few years off is very exciting,” he said.

“It’s about getting a deep card that will definitely impress.”
