Top Super Netball Commercial Partnerships: Lightning, Swifts, More

With the Super Netball pre-season already underway and the season beginning in a month, Australia’s Super Netball clubs are announcing their partnerships for the upcoming season.

Sunshine Coast Lightning:

Sunshine Coast Lightning have extended their foundation premium partnership with AVID Property Group (AVID) for another two years.

AVID has supported the club for the past six years and according to AVID’s general manager for Queensland, Bruce Harper, the property developer is excited to continue its support.

“We are incredibly proud to be extending our corporate sponsorship for another two years with the local national team,” Harper said.

Adelaide Thunderbirds:

The Adelaide Thunderbirds, along with Netball South Australia, announced The Hospital Research Foundation (THRF) Group will be their principal charity partner for 2022.

The partnership will support SA netball from its grassroots through to elite levels and marks a significant collaboration promoting health care and health literacy.

THRF group chief operating officer, Briony Marshall, said THRF was proud to be partnering with a sporting organisation that promotes positivity, inclusivity, and brings families and friends together.

“The synergies this has with hospital Research Foundation Group’s mission makes Netball SA and the Thunderbirds the perfect partners to help drive positive health and wellbeing messages,” Marshall said.

NSW Swifts:

NSW Swifts have announced Suzuki will become the club’s official automotive partner.

NSW Swifts executive general manager, Tracey Scott, said the club was excited to partner with a company who, like the club, started from small beginnings.

“Suzuki are on of the most respected and trusted automotive manufacturers in the world with a long history in Australia, and we are delighted that they want to be part of our team,” Scott said.

The trademarked Suzuki ‘S’ will appear on the team’s playing uniform throughout the 2022 season.

Melbourne Vixens:

Keeping up with the automotive partnership trend, the Melbourne Vixens have announced SIXT Australia will be their official car rental partner for 2022.

SIXT will supply a fleet of vehicles for team use and offer Vixens members with giveaways and benefits.

The partnership will also benefit Netball Victoria by supporting the organisation’s staff to travel in and out of the community to schools and associations.

SIXT Victoria managing director, Glen Lawrence, said the partnership is an exciting expansion and reflection of the company’s commitment to the community.

“SIXT is proud to be partnering with the Melbourne Vixens for the upcoming Suncorp Super Netball season, bringing our global brand into the Victorian market through the passionate Vixens fanbase,” Lawrence said.

The partnership announcements come after a multitude of partnership announcements announced at the end of January.
