Tasmania Devils Launch ‘Dancing With The Devils’ Leadership Series

The Tasmania Football Club has unveiled the Dancing With The Devils Leadership Series, a premium professional development initiative designed to cultivate Tasmania’s next generation of high-performing executives.

Set to commence in May 2026, the program marks a strategic expansion of the Devils’ brand into the corporate and educational sectors, bridging the gap between elite sporting culture and business leadership.

The series is grounded in the Club’s “Why and Way” values framework, focusing on accelerated learning, individuality, and team resilience in high-stakes environments.

Statewide Engagement and Elite Access

In a move that reinforces the Club’s “all-of-Tasmania” identity, the series will be hosted at four football-connected venues across the state.

Each full-day workshop features keynote addresses from the Devils’ executive and football leadership, providing rare transparency into the systems of an elite sporting start-up.

Key speakers and facilitators include:

  • Brendon Gale: Executive Chairman and CEO.
  • Kath McCann: Executive Director.
  • Lauren Jauncey: Head of People and Culture.
  • Technical Staff: Senior coaching and high-performance personnel.

Participants will also gain exclusive access to Devils VFL/VFLW training sessions to observe first-hand the practical application of alignment and culture of excellence.

Academic Integration and Career Pathways

A unique commercial pillar of the program is its direct link to higher education. Successful graduates of the series will receive academic credit toward a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Organisational Capability at the University of Tasmania (UTAS).

This integration positions the Devils as a key player in the state’s professional ecosystem, offering tangible ROI for organisations looking to upskill their senior management.

Program Structure and Application

The 2026 cohort is strictly limited to a select group, with a maximum of two representatives per organisation to ensure diversity. The curriculum includes monthly online ‘Community of Practice’ sessions to maintain momentum between the physical workshops.

2026 Workshop Schedule:

  • 22 May: Workshop 1 – Burnie
  • 15 July: Workshop 2 – Brighton
  • 16 September: Workshop 3 – Launceston
  • 16 November: Workshop 4 – Hobart
