Tabcorp and Racecourse Media Group strike five-year media partnership

Australian betting giant Tabcorp has forged an exclusive international media alliance with Racecourse Media Group (RMG), signalling a bumper five-year partnership set to kick off on January 1, 2024.

This collaboration grants Tabcorp’s Sky Racing channels the exclusive rights to broadcast British and Irish racing to audiences in both Australia and New Zealand, encompassing both wagering and non-wagering viewers.

The broadcast content will showcase races from RMG’s extensive network of 34 partner racecourses in Britain, featuring renowned locations such as Epsom, Newmarket, Aintree and Cheltenham from the Jockey Club stable, along with independent racecourses like York and Goodwood.

“Sky Racing is the home of racing in Australia, broadcasting more than 150,000 races live every year into 4,000 outlets and 1.3 million homes across Australia,” Sky Racing Australia’s General Manager Adam Brownlee stated.

“This partnership will grow and promote British and Irish content throughout Australasia, which is a great outcome for the industry.”

Racecourse Media Group CEO Martin Stevenson was similarly enthusiastic about the fledgling relationship.

“We are delighted to be teaming up with Tabcorp and the pre-eminent brand of Sky Racing,” Stevenson said.

“British racing, and Irish via the tote service, will enjoy a terrific shop window in Australia and New Zealand, and we look forward to working closely together on maximizing the profile of, and revenues for, our racecourses.”

This strategic partnership is poised to elevate the visibility and appeal of British and Irish racing in the Australasian market.
