Supercars To Host All Stars Eseries

Supercars has announced Virgin Australia Supercars Championship drivers will do battle in a Supercars All Stars Eseries.

The ten-week Esports competition will start from April 8, with all 25 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship drivers set to line up on the starting grid to be streamed around the world and broadcast in Australia and New Zealand.

Supercars general manager of television and content, Nathan Prendergast, said a majority of teams will use current Supercars liveries in the opening round after images were released showing the Red Bull Holden Racing Team, Team Sydney and Penrite Racing liveries in game.

“This series is about giving fans an opportunity to cheer for their favourite drivers from anywhere in the world,” Prendergast said.

“Drivers have really embraced the opportunity to continue racing via this All Star Series and we expect tough and exciting competition across the board.

“To bring fans more insights, we will have drivers chatting mid race and interacting with the broadcast, like the Supercars Championship.

“We’ll be using webcams throughout the series, so fans watching at home can see their drivers mid-race.

“Our broadcast partners have embraced this competition and we’re thrilled they will be showcasing it live across their channels,” he said.

The competition is set to be broadcast on Fox Sports 506, Kayo, TEN Play and Sky Sports (New Zealand) with Kayo and TEN Play set to make full races available to watch on demand after each event.

The Supercars All Stars Eseries will also be streamed internationally on the Supercars Twitch channel, Facebook page and each Supercars teams’ pages, with race one set to be held on the virtual Phillip Island circuit on April 8.
