Stan Sport Claims PFL And Superbikes Broadcast Rights

Continuing the run of increased sports broadcast rights for Stan Sport, the organisation has now secured the broadcast rights for the Professional Fighters League (PFL) and multiple motorsport competitions including the Australian Superbikes and FIM Motocross World Championship.

The partnership with the PFL will see Stan Sport broadcast the MMA competition in a multi-year deal, marking the first time the PFL will be broadcast in Australia.

Beginning Saturday, Stan Sport will broadcast the inaugural PFL Challenger Series, along with the 2022 PFL regular season and playoffs, and the PFL World Championship.

Stan Sport will also broadcast archival season footage from the 2019-2021 season and new original content from PFL Studios.

Stan acting CEO, Martin Kugeler, said: “Our exclusive new partnership with the PFL will bring Australian MMA fans a world-class competition on Stan Sport.”

“The PFL features some of the biggest names in MMA, with some trailblazing Aussie fighters joining the League in 2022.

“MMA is one of the fastest growing sports in Australia.

“The pedigree of the PFL’s roster combined with the League’s extraordinary production quality, will make it a key pillar in our combat sports offering,” Kugeler said.

PFL CEO, Peter Murray, said: “The Professional Fighters League is proud to announce our multi-year broadcast partnership with Stan Sport in Australia beginning with the inaugural PFL Challenger Series this month.”

“Australia is one of the fastest-growing MMA markets in the world and Stan Sport is the perfect partner to deliver our innovative products and live year-round programming schedule to the fans,” Murray said.

Elsewhere, with the motorsport rights, Stan Sport will stream every round of the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK), every round of the new ProMX Championship and the FIM Motocross World Championship.

Stan director of sport, Ben Kimber, said all three competitions will be shown ad-free, live and on demand.

“Superbikes and Motocross add yet more outstanding motorsport action into our Stan Sport line-up, and we’re particularly excited to add quality two-wheel action,” Kimber said.

“These series are growing fast and at Stan Sport we know how to help sports accelerate,” he said.
