The Seven Network has reaffirmed its position as the Home of Hockey in Australia, extending its partnership with Hockey Australia for an additional three years. This landmark agreement ensures hockey fans can enjoy live and free coverage of the nation’s premier hockey events on Seven and its digital platform, 7plus Sport, until the end of 2027.
A New Era for Hockey in Australia
The extended partnership promises comprehensive coverage of the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras as they embark on a journey to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Key highlights of the agreement include:
- The 2026 World Cup in the Netherlands and Belgium.
- The Los Angeles Olympic Games Qualifiers in 2027.
- All test matches featuring the Kookaburras and Hockeyroos.
- Live coverage of the next three seasons of the Liberty Hockey One League.
The first major event under the renewed partnership kicks off in two weeks, with the FIH Pro League returning to Sydney Olympic Park from February 4–9, marking the tournament’s first appearance in Australia in two years. Fans will witness six thrilling match days as the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras face off against international powerhouses Spain, China, and the Netherlands.
