Rugby Australia, R.M. Williams Announce Multi-Year Partnership

Australian footwear and clothing brand, R.M. Williams, has been announced to partner with Rugby Australia, which covers the Wallabies, Wallaroos and Australian Sevens teams.

The deal sees R.M. Williams release a licensed product line next year, while also supporting the organisation through the upcoming Women’s Rugby World Cup, 2023 Men’s Rugby World Cup, and the 2025 Lions Tour.

Additionally, the deal comes as R.M. Williams has looked to reaffirm their commitment to Australian athletes after they provided the uniforms for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Commenting on the partnership, Rugby Australia CEO, Andy Marinos, said: “I am proud and delighted to welcome R.M. Williams back to Rugby.”

“The Wallabies and R.M.Williams have always been an ideal match as iconic Australian brands – to be able to extend this partnership across all our national teams is especially satisfying.

“We look forward to a successful partnership with R.M.Williams as we continue to grow Rugby all around Australia,” he said.

R.M.Williams CEO, Paul Grosmann, added: “We’re delighted to partner with Rugby Australia as it embarks on an exciting new chapter.”

“Both ourselves and Rugby Australia are very keen that this partnership extends beyond a traditional sponsorship agreement so we’re particularly excited by the opportunity to create a licensed product offering and to bring the gam to out customers in the heartland of Australia, as well as those in key cities,” he said.

The new deal comes after Rugby Australia announced the renewal of it’s partnership with Land Rover earlier in the year.
