Classic Sportswear, the legendary Australian sports apparel brand, has welcomed seasoned sports administrator Ross Smart as its new Chief Executive Officer. The creation of this position is geared towards revving up the expansion and influence of Classic Sportswear.
Purchased by Dina Industries in 2019, Classic Sportswear became part of the diverse Uniform Group, alongside Carney Sports Marketing (CSM), Dina Uniform Group, and Australian Apparel Management Services (Transport for NSW). Approaching its momentous 90th anniversary in October, Classic Sportswear is poised to reaffirm its status as the premier provider of sporting apparel for the National Rugby League, Super Rugby Pacific, and team wear in New South Wales and Queensland by 2025.
In the year 2024, Classic Sportswear proudly partners with an array of esteemed teams and entities, including:
– National Rugby League clubs: South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs NRL, Dolphins NRL, St. George-Illawarra Dragons NRL & NRLW, Cronulla Sharks NRL & NRLW, Newcastle Knights NRL & NRLW.
– Indigenous & Māori All Stars teams (men’s & women’s).

Ross Smart, arriving at Classic Sportswear following nearly six years as the Chief Commercial Officer of the Newcastle Knights, brings a wealth of sports experience with roles at the Bulldogs, Parramatta Eels, and New South Wales Waratahs.
