Rabbitohs And Metricon Continue Partnership Until 2020

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have announced that leading home builder Metricon will have naming rights to the Rabbitohs High-Performance Centre at Redfern Oval for the next two years.

The training facility at Redfern Oval will be now be known as the Metricon High-Performance Centre, with the home building company now committing to football sponsorships across three states.

Rabbitohs CEO Blake Solly is excited to see Metricon extend its relationship with the Rabbitohs.

“Metricon are Australia’s best home builder and we share many of the same values and goals.

“We want to be recognised as the number one Rugby League Club on and off the field, and partnerships with respected and successful companies like Metricon will help to see us achieve that goal,” Mr Solly said.

“Metricon were one of our most active partners in 2018 and our Members will no doubt have interacted with the Metricon team at our home games throughout last season.

“By signing on for the naming rights to our High-Performance Centre at Redfern Oval over the next two years, Metricon will have many more opportunities to connect with our Members and supporters, particularly at our home games at the Metricon High-Performance Centre at Redfern Oval for NSW Intrust Super Premiership, Jersey Flegg under 20s and Women’s teams.

Metricon NSW General Manager, Mr Luke Fryer, said: “Metricon is thrilled to be an Official Partner of the South Sydney Rabbitohs again for the 2019 football season.

“Metricon and the South Sydney Rabbitohs are aligned in their quest for high performance, underpinned by our naming rights agreement in 2019 for the Metricon High-Performance Centre in Redfern, while the Club begins construction of their new $26 million High-Performance Centre to be built in Maroubra at Heffron Park.”

“This renewed NSW partnership extends Metricon’s commitment to football across three states, as we have been the naming rights sponsor of Metricon Stadium, the home of the Gold Coast Suns since 2011, and we are the new Principal Partner of the Melbourne Victory Football Club.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs will be hosting a Return to Redfern trial match at the Metricon High-Performance Centre at Redfern Oval against the Penrith Panthers on Saturday, February 23.
