PSG Open Permanent Store in Los Angeles

rench football giants, Paris Sant Germain (PSG) have announced they are the “first ever European football club to open a permanent retail store in the United States” as the club looks to expand its brand into the states.

The store, located in the Westfield Century City Mall in Los Angeles, is set to be the first of several new retail outlets the club has planned after it signed a ten-year deal with sport merchandiser Fanatics, last year.

PSG announced that the store will provide customers with “the broadest assortment of Paris Sant-Germain club merchandise ever offered in a US store, with a full range of Nike and Jordan teamwear, one-of-a-kind collabs, fashion collections and LA-inspired PSG designs exclusively available at the new location.”

Having long-term deals with sportswear giants Nike and Jordan Brand, PSG are looking to become “one of the biggest and hottest brands in world sport.”

PSG brand diversification director, Fabien Allegre said in a statement, the clubs international popularity continues to grow with North America now the club’s second largest market.

“During the past year, our business has grown by 49% and international markets now represent 86%,” Allegre said.

“North America has become our second largest market, with an 11% share, and our latest collections have had great success here.

“Our popularity is growing steadily, as the number of viewers for our games beats records and the hope of opening fan clubs and PSG Academy sites, show,” he said.

Fanatics general manager for international business, Zohar Ravid, said the collaboration is “the ultimate combination of strengths.”

“PSG is a trailblazing club and brand, and Fanatics is a pioneer of the licensed sports industry, so it makes sense that this relationship drove the opening of the first permanent European football club store in North America,” Ravid said.

“With this store, we are able to combine the PSG, Jordan and Nike brand appeals with Fanatics’ real-time product capabilities… guaranteeing the best retail experience for customers in LA,” he said.
