North Melbourne Introduce Innovative Networking Model For Sponsors

North Melbourne Football Club has introduced a new business to business networking model that is designed to give tangible outcomes from their investments and it’s proving to be a winner.

It is widely recognised that sport sponsorship provides a deeper level of brand awareness with fans and attendees, attributing to a greater sense of loyalty.

But, for those businesses looking for additional business networking opportunities in their marketing campaign, North’s new model can facilitate direct introductions to key persons of interest.

The North Network, the clubs innovative platform, has a designated connector in charge of facilitating business introductions and now has over 50 companies involved from a wide range of industries.

“A lot of clubs have their own networks but it can be difficult to convert to meaningful business introductions,” commercial and strategy manager at North Melbourne Football Club, James Bartold told Ministry of Sport.

“It can be difficult to talk business in a social setting while the game is on and there’s a lot of action happening”

“So the Club created The North Network package where a member of our team is employed as a specific conduit to introduce the right people to one another and create opportunities for ongoing collaboration,” Bartold said.

Other benefits in the North Network packages involve three business network events, a business connector breakfast, business information within North Network collateral, invitations to key match events and discounted corporate hospitality.
