American bookmakers have become the latest way to watch the National Football League (NFL), as the Sunday Night Football game between the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys was livestreamed on the Caesars Sportsbook app.

Caesars collaborated with the NFL’s exclusive distributor of official NFL data and live video streams to sportsbooks to make the stream happen.

Through the app’s ‘Watch & Bet’ feature, users are able to place in-game wagers, while watching a low-latency stream.

Additionally, this was the first of five games that will be shown on the app this season.

Commenting on the Watch & Bet feature, Caesars Digital president, Eric Hession, said: “The addition of live Watch & Bet video streaming brings the best that the NFL has to offer right into the Caesars Sportsbook app.”

“Delivering innovative technology like this remains a key emphasis for us, so being the first U.S. sportsbook to provide customers with in-app NFL livestreaming isn’t something we take lightly,” he said.

NFL media strategy and business development vice president, Brent Lawton, added: “We’re excited to offer fans a new way to experience and engage with NFL content.”

“Watch and Bet is an innovative step forward in our partnerships with Genius Sports and Caesars,” he said.

The announcement comes after the NFL and Genius Sports struck a deal with three Canadian sportsbooks.
