Rise Up! with Ministry of Sport, in association with Sunshine Coast Council, have announced Big Bash League’s (BBL) operational director, Belinda Keay, as a keynote speaker at the upcoming Women in Sport Summit (WIS) 2021.

Taking place at the home of the Sunshine Coast Lightning, USC Stadium, on Friday 25 June, the Women in Sport Summit 2021 promises exclusive access, coveted conversations and game changing discussions, all while inspiring women to rise up and dream, believe, create and succeed.

As operational director, Keay has been responsible in all aspects of event management, strategy and delivery across the BBL and WBBL.

Keay has over 15 years experience across major events, venues and government, whilst also being a lecturer at Deakin University, holding a Bachelor of Business (event & sports) from Victoria University.

Speaking on the announcement, Keay said she was excited to share her story at the upcoming summit.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the team at MOS as a speaker for the upcoming Women in Sport Summit,” Keay said.

“I’m excited to share the Big Bash Leagues’ COVID-impacted journey at the MOS – Women in Sport Summit.

“I’m looking forward to hearing from all the incredible speakers at the Women in Sport Summit and reconnecting after a challenging 12 months for our industry,” she told Ministry of Sport.
