Netflix has announced an exciting new partnership with the NFL, marking their first collaboration with the league.

The new docuseries, Quarterback, promises to take viewers on a unique journey through the 2022 NFL season, through the eyes of three of the league’s quarterbacks: Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota.

What sets Quarterback apart from other NFL documentaries is the unprecedented access granted to the show’s producers.

For the first time ever, the NFL has allowed quarterbacks to be mic’d up for every single game of the season, meaning viewers will be able to hear the on-field chatter, strategy and banter of these three quarterbacks, as they lead their teams through every twist and turn of the season.

Commenting on the docuseries, Mahomes, said: “I’m excited for fans to get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at an unforgettable season for the entire Chiefs organization and for my family.”

“From welcoming home a new baby in the middle of the season to welcoming the Lombardi trophy back to Kansas City, our crew was there for it all.

“This new Netflix series will show the time, preparation and balance that it takes to be an NFL quarterback and perform on the biggest stage,” he said.

The show will also give viewers a glimpse into their personal lives with cameras following them off the field and into their homes, from family dinners to pre-game rituals.

The series will premiere on Netflix in mid-2023, and is sure to provide an intimate and captivating look at the 2022 NFL season.

The announcement comes after Netflix announced a docuseries of the 2023/24 LaLiga season.
