Sport Design Australia (SDA) has completed a comprehensive rebrand of Netball Australia’s Woolworths NetSetGo program. The rebrand aims to modernise the program’s identity and improve engagement with young netballers. The new branding was officially launched at Netball Australia’s Come and Play Day on 15 February 2025.

New Identity for Grassroots Netball

Sponsored by Woolworths, Netball Australia engaged SDA to refresh NetSetGo’s branding, covering logo redesign, brand guidelines, and a suite of digital and print assets for marketing, coaching, and community events.

Project Scope

The project included:

  • Logo Development – Creation of a modern wordmark and adaptable logo formats.
  • Brand Guidelines – Standardised design elements, including typography, colours, and character illustrations.
  • Marketing and Training Materials – Over 300 assets developed for digital and print use.

During development, five creative concepts were explored before finalising a design that included 36 unique visual elements, such as icons and graphics tailored for various touchpoints.

Industry Response

Ryan Ellul, CEO and co-founder of Sport Design Australia, highlighted the significance of the project:

“The NetSetGo rebrand was an exciting challenge. Our goal was to create a fresh visual identity that reflects the energy and accessibility of the program. The new look delivers a cohesive brand experience across all channels.”

Netball Australia acknowledged SDA’s role in executing the rebrand:

“The rebrand of Woolworths NetSetGo gives our introductory program a renewed presence, ensuring it resonates with young participants and their families. SDA’s expertise was crucial in delivering this project ahead of our 2025 registration launch.”
