Netball Australia Announces Record Attendance During the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Season

On the eve of the Suncorp Super Netball final series, Netball Australia announced that a new attendance record was set during the home and away season. A total of 331,841 fans showing up to cheer on their favourite teams – marking a notable 25% increase compared to the previous year.

On average, each round saw around 23,703 enthusiastic fans flocking to the Suncorp Super Netball matches, reflecting a substantial 30% rise from the 2023 season.

The pinnacle of the home and away season, Round 14, witnessed a historic moment for Suncorp Super Netball as a staggering 34,726 spectators gathered to witness the thrilling matches live. This turnout surpassed previous records seen in Round 1 (20,802), Round 6 (27,514), and Round 12 (28,786) throughout the 2024 season.

Across the league, club support reached unprecedented levels, with a dozen matches being completely sold out over the season and club memberships witnessing an eight percent increase.

Stacey West, the CEO of Netball Australia, expressed her gratitude to the fans for their unwavering dedication and support.

“Our fans have shown unparalleled enthusiasm this season, turning out in remarkable numbers to back their teams,” West praised.

“The phenomenal success of the Suncorp Super Netball League is a testament to the incredible support from our fans, and we extend a massive thank you for your unwavering passion and commitment.

“Our Suncorp Super Netball clubs have delivered thrilling and captivating match-day experiences, while the remarkable on-court performances by the world’s best netballers have truly shined.”
