he Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League (NBL) have extended their partnership with a major partner, La Trobe Financial, for another three years.

La Trobe Financial has been a foundation partner of the NBL since 2015, and a sponsor since 2006, playing a crucial role in the development and growth of the league.

Included in the extension of the partnership will be the launch of the La Trobe Financial Bounce Back, which hopes to assist businesses in recovering and adapting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of the initiative, ten small Australian businesses will be offered a chance to share in more than $100,000 in financial support in 2021, with over $10,000 small business grants.

Hungry Jack’s NBL owner and executive chairman, Larry Kestelman, said: “We are proud to continue our association with La Trobe Financial for another three years.”

“They have been vital to the NBL’s growth and they are part of the family.

“It has been a very difficult period for small businesses across Australia and the Bounce Back initiative showcases the commitment La Trobe Financial and the NBL has to giving back to the community and helping those in need,” he said.

La Trobe financial president and CEO, and Australian Basketball Players’ Association chair, Greg O’Neill OAM, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with the NBL.”

“What Larry and the team are doing for Australian basketball is remarkable and we are pleased to be part of the growth story of this thriving game,” O’Neill said.

For small businesses to be considered for the $10,000 grants, they are required to submit a statement in 250 words or less explaining how the grant will help the business recover from the financial difficulties caused by COVID-19.
