NBL brings EGO to the States

The National Basketball League has partnered with power equipment brand EGO for the NBA x NBL pre-season series in the United States, which began last week.

EGO, which specialises in cordless outdoor power equipment, will continue to support the NBL through their pre-season, as they prepare for their biggest season yet.

The NBA x NBL series will see five teams – Melbourne United, Sydney Kings, Adelaide 36ers, New Zealand Breakers and Perth Wildcats – play a total of seven games against NBA teams in the 2018 NBA preseason.

The partnership began with Melbourne United’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers last weekend.

NBL Chief Executive, Jeremy Loeliger said: “We are pleased to welcome EGO on board as we continue to build the profile of the NBL.

“This is an exciting time for Australian basketball as we prepare for the biggest NBL season yet.

“This is a great endorsement of the NBL and its growing status in world basketball,” he said.

Ahead of the new season, which begins on October 11, the NBL has also signed a deal with gambling company Sportsbet.
