NBL and 2K Games Renews Partnership

The Hungry Jack’s NBL has renewed its partnership with 2K Games for the 2025/26 season, strengthening the connection between Australia’s top basketball league and one of the world’s leading sports gaming franchises.

The collaboration, now entering its fourth year, continues to celebrate the growth of basketball culture in Australia while delivering a more localised experience for fans.

Through NBA 2K26, Australian gamers will have new ways to engage with the league, its players, and its teams, further bridging the gap between the NBL and global basketball.

As part of the partnership, fans can look forward to representing their favourite NBL clubs in NBA 2K26, with team jerseys set to be introduced for MyPLAYER characters in a later game update. The integration also highlights the success of former NBL Next Stars who now feature in the NBA, including Josh Giddey, LaMelo Ball, and Alex Sarr, giving fans the opportunity to take control of players who started their careers in Australia before making the leap to the biggest stage.

Commenting on the partnership renewal, NBL Chief Partnerships Officer, Shenae Beus, said: “We are incredibly proud to be entering our fourth season as partners with 2K Games.”

“This relationship is a testament to our shared vision of celebrating the game of basketball. The inclusion of the NBL and its teams in a global juggernaut like NBA 2K26 is a source of immense pride for us and our fans.

“We look forward to another successful season together, connecting with our growing fanbase through the world’s leading basketball game. My thanks to 2K ANZ for their continued partnership and passion for our league,” Beus said.

This year’s NBA 2K26 continues the franchise’s tradition of innovation with popular modes including MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and MyNBA. Players can collect basketball legends and current stars to build dream rosters in MyTEAM, while immersive career and franchise experiences challenge fans to prove that it’s “ball over everything.”

The Superstar Edition of NBA 2K26 features former NBL Next Stars ambassador Carmelo Anthony on the cover, underlining the pathway between the NBL and the NBA.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander headlines the standard edition, while Angel Reese features on the “Leave No Doubt” edition.
