Gello Beans and Gello Snakes Announce Five-Year AFL Partnership

image

Gello Beans and Gello Snakes have officially entered a five-year licensing agreement with the Australian Football League (AFL).

The deal establishes the Chemist Warehouse-owned brands as official partners of the league, marking the first time a jelly-confectionery brand has secured such a comprehensive licensing deal with the AFL.

Under this new agreement, Gello Beans and Snakes products will undergo a packaging overhaul to prominently feature the AFL logo, effectively turning a popular pharmacy staple into officially branded football merchandise.

Empowering the “Third Team” on the Field

Gello Beans and Gello Snakes will also fund a dedicated program designed to strengthen the high-performance pathway for emerging officials and umpires.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, AFL executive general manager, Bec Haagsma, said: “Without umpires our game doesn’t happen, so it’s fantastic that this initiative will help support AFL Umpires at every level of the game.”

The program aims to provide resources and professional development opportunities to ensure the next generation of elite umpires can excel.

Retail Rollout and Availability

Expressing his pride in the collaboration, Chemist Warehouse Deputy CEO of Retail, Mario Tascone, added: “This collaboration positions Gello Beans and Gello Snakes as a leading confectionery brand in the market, and we’re excited to see it grow, evolve and connect with consumers.”

The AFL-licensed Gello range is launching with an exclusive retail rollout across several major pharmaceutical chains.

Fans can find the branded products at:

  • Chemist Warehouse: National exclusive launch partner.
  • Amcal Pharmacy
  • Discount Drug Stores
