Melbourne Victory has officially launched Victory Rising, a new year-long development program specifically designed to support personal and professional pathways for 18 to 25-year-olds from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
The initiative aims to bridge the gap between traditional youth engagement and long-term career success by providing participants with mentorship, employment sessions, and direct access to the club’s extensive commercial networks.
Commenting on the program, club, stated:”Victory is uniquely positioned to support these young people to develop across a range of disciplines.”
The club also highlightedd a strengths-based approach that offers experiences in coaching, finance, and social media.
The program is spearheaded by presenting partner Airmaster, which will work alongside the “Victory in Business” network to establish tangible employment connections for participants who often face systemic barriers to the workforce.
The inaugural intake of 36 emerging leaders was hosted at AAMI Park during the A-League Men’s fixture on 15 March, where they engaged with inspirational speakers and shared a communal breaking of the Ramadan fast at half-time.
