Arguably no athlete has rocketed into the Australian public’s consciousness to the same degree as Fowler in the past 12 months, largely courtesy of her prominent role in the Matildas’ captivating charge to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup semi-finals. The Cairns-born 21-year-old is described by Always Human as ‘a powerful, talented and influential young woman who has captivated the country with her exceptional freethinking style of play, and her authenticity’.

The announcement comes off the back of Fowler being revealed as the first female athlete to be named a L’Oréal Paris Brand Ambassador for Australia and New Zealand this week. The multi-year endorsement deal was orchestrated by Always Human.

“We are thrilled Mary has chosen Always Human to represent her going forward,” CEO of Always Human Group, and Mary’s agent, Josh White, said of the signing.

“At just 21, Mary’s meteoric rise continues to be in play both on and off the pitch. She is the perfect role model for young girls and women alike. My team and I look forward to driving her profile and commercial endeavours away from the pitch, whilst providing her with the support, guidance, and resources she needs to continue thriving and reaching new heights in her career.”

Fowler, the daughter of a Papua New Guinea mother and Irish father, made her senior international debut for Australia aged just 15 at the 2018 Tournament of Nations. She has scored 13 goals in 46 appearances for the Matildas and was one of the standouts in last year’s unforgettable World Cup campaign on home soil.

Meanwhile, after stints with Adelaide United and Montpellier HSC, Fowler is currently in her second season with Women’s Super League heavyweights Manchester City.

Fowler’s current partners include Adidas, L’Oréal Paris, Samsung Australia, CUPRA and Rise and Shine Kindergarten.

Always Human’s talent roster includes a host of other successful athletes, including Olympic gold medallist and 10-time canoe slalom world champion Jessica Fox; Australian sports icon, and cricket and football international Ellyse Perry; and pole vault world champion and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Nina Kennedy.
