Manchester United Appoints Levy as Catering Partner in Multi-Year Deal

Manchester United has announced a new multi-year agreement with Levy, the sport and hospitality division of Compass Group UK & Ireland.

The partnership is designed to transform the matchday experience at Old Trafford through a series of infrastructure and service upgrades, even as the club prepares for a long-term transition to a new stadium by 2035.

The deal, the financial terms of which remain undisclosed, sees Levy join a portfolio that already includes high-profile clients such as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Aston Villa FC.

Emphasising that wait times and service quality are priorities for the board, chief executive at Manchester United, Omar Berrada, said: “Improving matchdays at Old Trafford is an essential part of our strategy.”

“Whilst we have plans for a new stadium in the long term, we have a responsibility to ensure we’re continuing to invest in our facilities and services in the short term,” Berrada said.

Technology and Service Upgrades for 2026/27

Set to commence at the start of the 2026/27 season, the partnership will introduce several “frictionless” and digital-first enhancements across the “Theatre of Dreams”:

  • Operational Efficiency: The rollout of new draught beer taps in all areas, alongside an increase in self-service bars and frictionless kiosks to reduce wait times.
  • Digital Integration: New digital signage will be installed throughout the stadium to improve communication and spectator flow.
  • Menu Diversification: Levy will introduce an expanded selection of street food and revamp the offerings at the iconic Red Café.
  • Community Focus: In a move to support the local economy, the partnership will spotlight independent Manchester vendors at kiosks located outside the stadium.

The appointment of Levy is a core component of Manchester United’s short-to-medium-term facility strategy.

While the club is exploring a new stadium build, targeted for completion before the 2035 Women’s World Cup Final, the current focus remains on maintaining elite standards at its historic home.
