Liverpool Surpasses 1 Billion Social Media Engagements

Liverpool FC has continued to set the standard in digital and broadcast engagement, reinforcing its position as one of the most popular and influential football clubs in the world.

With 1.5 billion fan engagements across their social media platforms, the Reds were the most-engaged club in the Premier League during the 2023-24 season, which has been carried into 2025, with figures from Blinkfire at the end of January showing LFC leading the league across all major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, TikTok, and YouTube, which is a 200 million engagement lead over its nearest rival across all platforms.

The momentum reached new heights in December 2024, marking LFC’s biggest month for follower growth this season, where the club added three million new followers across its platforms, pushing its total global following on men’s and women’s social channels past the 200 million mark.

A standout achievement in the club’s digital success came earlier this year when LFC surpassed 11 million subscribers on YouTube, which follows their historic accomplishment in May 2024, when they became the first Premier League club to receive YouTube’s Diamond Play Button for reaching 10 million subscribers.

The club’s impressive engagement rates can be attributed to its creative and original content, particularly the behind-the-scenes matchday coverage featuring both the men’s and women’s teams.

Additionally, LFC continues to highlight stories that resonate deeply with supporters, such as the feature on Isaac Kearney, which released on Christmas Day and has been viewed over 145 million times.

Beyond digital engagement, Liverpool FC is also leading the Premier League in global viewership.

According to recent independent data released by Nielsen, LFC has amassed a cumulative TV audience of 171.6 million viewers across their Premier League matches played between August and November 2024, making them the most-watched team in the league so far this season.
