Gainbridge Insurance Agency has been announced by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) as the official title partner of the Billie Jean King Cup.
The agreement will run for six years, with Gainbridge and the ITF committing to equal prize money in the Billie Jean King Cup and its male counterpart, the Davis Cup.
Commenting on the partnership, president of Gainbridge’s parent company Group 1001, Dan Towriss, said: “Billie Jean King epitomises the best in sports through winning, commitment and standing for equity for all.”
“By supporting the Billie Jean King Cup, we seek to bring more awareness to women’s sports.
“Group 1001 is committed to investing in and growing women’s sports as a means to attack the pay disparity issue,” he said.
ITF president, David Haggerty, added: “The Gainbridge title partnership is very exciting for the Billie Jean King Cup.”
“As an organisation that invests in partnership that create equal opportunities for all, Gainbridge is well aligned with the ITF goals.”
“Through our Advantage All program, the ITF’s aim is to continue to inspire and empower women on and off the court now and in the future,” he said.
Gainbridge will also support the ITF’s advantage all initiative, which aims to promote gender equality in tennis.
The ITF are following the lead of the Women’s Tennis Association, who secured their largest ever sponsorship deal in March 2022.
