Netball Australia has announced the launch of NetballAustralia.TV, a subscription streaming platform for netball fans outside of Australia and New Zealand.

The platform, which is powered by Cluch, will be the official international subscription service for the 2022 Suncorp Super Netball season, adding to the league’s domestic broadcast partnership with the Foxtel Group.

The move is the latest for Netball Australia in its continued hopes of boosting the international reach and engagement of netball, along with the push to make Super Netball be, or remain, the world’s premier netball competition.

The announcement comes ahead of the start of the 2022 Super Netball season on Saturday, with Netball Australia also revealing there will be an announcement made in the coming days regarding the league’s New Zealand broadcast rights.

Announcing the platform, Netball Australia CEO, Kelly Ryan, said: “We are incredibly pleased to launch NetballAustralia.TV and bring Suncorp Super Netball, the world’s best netball competition, to viewers right across the globe.”

“Our international fans are incredibly important to us and ensuring you are able to watch your favourite teams and players is crucial to the growth of our competition.

“If more elite content is accessible to fans, be it on TV or through their mobile device, we’re helping tap into new audiences to attract them to the sport.

“This new platform allows viewers to watch Suncorp Super Netball from anywhere at any time, and we thank our overseas fans for their patience and importantly, their passion for our sport,” Ryan said.

The PacificAus Sports Netball Series, which officially begins today, will also be streamed live and on-demand to Australian and international audiences, with subscriptions available from Thursday for all viewers.

The subscriptions will be available in two packages, either for $2.49 per week, or $29.99 for the entire Super Netball season, including finals.
