BIG3 Remains with CBS For 2023

American 3-on-3 basketball league, BIG3, has announced an extension to their broadcast partnership with CBS.

The deal will see the broadcaster air more than 20 hours of live weekend games in the summer of 2023 as the league returns to its touring model after the COVID-19 pandemic.

BIG3 initially partnered with CBS for the 2019 summer, after Fox Sports had carried the league’s first two seasons, and 2022 has been their most successful to date, with 14% increase in viewership overall, including a 32% increase for the championship game.

Commenting on the new deal, BIG3 CEO and co-founder, Ice Cube, said: “After the success of last season, it’s cool to continue to blow this league up with CBS.”

“CBS has been more than an amazing partner by showcasing 2 to 3 BIG3games every weekend on the number on network.

“They believe in the league and use their unprecedented reach to bring BIG3 to new heights on the worldwide stage of sports,” he said.

CBS Sports vice president, programming, Dan Weinberg, added: “BIG3 is an exciting brand of basketball with an audience that continues to grow each year.”

“We look forward to showcasing the BIG# across our platforms and build on the momentum the League has created over the past three seasons on CBS,” he said.

This announcement sees BIG3 continue to be a part of the CBS Sports portfolio alongside Formula E and the PGA Championship.
