Basketball Australia Extend PTP Partnership

Basketball Australia has announced a three-year partnership extension with fitness accessory brand, PTP, with the brand to supply their products to Australia’s national basketball teams.

The partnership extension will see PTP cover the Australian national women’s basketball team, the Opals, during the upcoming FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Australia.

PTP head of sales and marketing, Chris O’Sullivan, said the brand had no hesitation to renew their partnership after the success of the first two years working with the Boomers and the Opals.

“Seeing how well our national basketball teams competed at the recent 2020 Tokyo Olympics and their current FIBA #3 ranking, it is the perfect fit for a premium brand to be involved with,” O’Sullivan said.

“We really look forward to collaborating with both teams to provide tools that will assist players in their preparation for and recovery from games in their up-and-coming global tournaments.

“Especially exciting is that most of the squads play in the biggest competition in the world, the NBA and the WNBA which will help us build brand awareness and credibility after our recent brand launch in the USA,” he said.

Basketball Australia CEO, Matt Scriven, said: “PTP, have supplied their industry-leading products to the Boomers and Opals for the past two years, and it’s fantastic to have them continue as an official supplier.”

“With a home World Cup on the horizon for the Opals, we look forward to PTP products playing an important part in game preparation and recovery as our national teams continue to strive for success on the international stage,” Scriven said.
