Australian Open Name SafetyCulture Official Workplace Operations Partner

Ahead of the 2022 Australian Open (AO) in January, SafetyCulture has been appointed the official workplace operations partner of the event.

The multi-year partnership will see SafetyCulture’s technology employed across the tournament, including such things as training for ballkids, weather alerts, and construction inspections.

With the help of its flagship products, iAuditor and EdApp, SafetyCulture will aim to assist the day-to-day running of the Australian Open, extending on the organisation’s partnership with Tennis Australia which includes operational activities such as inspecting seating, catering and general safety checks.

EdApp CEO, Darren Winterford, said the company will bring a new, innovative approach to the Australian Open.

“The Australian Open is Australia’s largest and most successful international sporting event, watched by over one billion people worldwide,” Winterford said.

“It takes incredible teamwork and considered operations to pull off such a feat.

“As the official workplace operations partner for the AO we’re ready to help Tennis Australia meet their AO2022 vision and reach even bigger goals,” he said.

Tennis Australia chief event officer, Alex Hamilton, said: “SafetyCulture has been in our corner for several years now, supporting our operations team behind-the-scenes of the Australian Open.”
