Australian yoghurt company, YoPRO, has signed on as an official partner of the Australian Olympic Team and will be fuelling them on their journey to Tokyo 2020.
YoPRO, who is owned by global food and beverage company Danone, plans to expand its support to Australian team athletes’ nutritional needs in the lead up to and during the course of the games and corresponds with the launch of the 4th episode in YoPRO’s inspiring ‘Journey to Tokyo 2020’ content series.
The content series ‘Fuel Your Journey’ uses a strong calibre of Australian athletes who are on their own Olympic journey to cut through the marketing noise on social media and engage with future athletes and consumers.
Episode 4 in the series features Aussie gymnast and World Cup medallist Mitchell Morgan.
Danone Brand Manager, Xavier Gonzalez, said: “YoPRO has always been incredibly proud to support Australian athletes.
“We have partnered with an amazing roster of talent across all different sporting professions and have found the synergy between our brand and these athletes is always fantastic.”
“It made sense to team up with the AOC and support our own on the world’s biggest stage.”
CEO of the Australian Olympic Committee, Matt Carroll, commended the partnership.
“We want our athletes to have meaningful brands behind them as they continue on this journey.
“YoPRO has continuously modelled their unwavering commitment to the sporting landscape of Australia, and we have no doubt that the partnership will leave athletes with the right fuel to perform at their best.”
“We are delighted to partner with YoPRO and look forward to seeing how this will benefit our Aussies in Tokyo.”
During the lead up to the games, YoPRO will follow multiple athletes on their journey to 2020 including Aussie Sevens Rugby star, Charlotte Caslick.
“YoPRO has been a solid supporter of my sporting journey over the last few years.
“Nutrition is a huge part of training at an elite level so it’s really exciting that YoPRO has now partnered with the whole Australian Olympic Team as we train and prepare for Tokyo 2020,” Caslick said.
Other athletes on this roster include Commonwealth Games and Swimming World Championships Gold Medallist Brianna Throssell, Commonwealth Games High Jump Gold Medallist Brandon Starc as well as up and coming triathlete star, Matt Hauser.
