The partnership between MLS and Apple is set to revolutionise the live sports broadcasting industry after the pair announced their production plan for the new MLS Season Pass subscription service.

With no blackouts and consistent match times, fans will have access to every match of the MLS regular season, Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, and Leagues Cup all in one place.

Fans will also enjoy an elevated viewing experience with more camera angles, 1080p video, Dolby 5.1 audio, and enhanced data and graphics in live match coverage.

A new vibrant graphics package will also feature exciting opportunities to incorporate storylines, stats, and advanced data visualizations.

Commenting on the service, MLS deputy commissioner and president of MLS Business Ventures, Gary Stevenson, said: “MLS Season Pass is a global project that required assembling a team of the most talented and accomplished leaders in every aspect of the broadcasting industry from all over the world.”

“Our focus, with our partner Apple, is delivering an exceptional level of quality and storytelling that entertains and engages MLS’s passionate fans, improves their experience, and engages new fans through the reach of Apple and MLS Season Pass,” he said.

The new subscription service will also provide dedicated studio programming for viewers to preview weekly matchups, dissect key moments, and hear compelling stories from around the league.

The new Studio programming will be couple with pregame, whip-around, and postgame shows available in English, Spanish, and French, fans will have comprehensive coverage of all the action.

Additionally, NEP Group and IMG will support live match and studio productions, ensuring over 900 matches and 2,000 hours of live coverage are of the highest quality.
