AE Live, a global leader in data and broadcast solutions, has announced the extension of its long-standing partnership with Australian broadcaster Channel Nine for the delivery and coverage of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Channel Nine, having secured the broadcasting rights for the Summer and Winter Olympics through to 2032, is currently delivering its first Olympics since 2012. This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone, providing Australians with comprehensive coverage across free-to-air TV, streaming, digital publishing, radio, and print.

AE Live is recognised globally as a principal provider of specialist graphics and data services for some of the world’s leading governing bodies, broadcasters, and production companies. The partnership with Channel Nine has been instrumental in delivering seamless and engaging coverage for major events such as the NRL, Australian Open Tennis, Australian Swimming trials, and Cricket.

With a rich history of servicing global broadcast clients, AE Live is leveraging its expertise to enhance Nine’s Olympic coverage. Preparations have been underway for months, with specialist teams in Australia, the UK, and France collaborating to provide best-in-class resources and services under the AE Live banner.

The collaboration involves the design, build, and delivery of Broadcast Graphics, including Virtual Studio delivery in Paris and AR elements for the Olympics and Paralympics. A dedicated team of 20 Graphics Operators, Technicians, Designers, Developers, and Project and Operations Management personnel is working out of Nine’s North Sydney headquarters around the clock during the games. Additionally, AE Live’s Australian team is hosting Virtual Artists and AR Operators from AE Live UK, who are assisting with the delivery of Nine’s Virtual Studio in Paris and local virtual asset delivery.

“We’re thrilled to partner with our friends at Nine on yet another of their blue-chip sporting properties,” said Narelle Vine, AE Live’s Australian General Manager. “Our two organisations have a deep affinity, rooted in our combined passion for all forms of sport, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality broadcast products. We have enormous respect for Brent, Alex, and the entire team at Nine, not just for what they do, but how they go about it, and it’s a privilege to be part of their extended team at the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics.”

As the home of the Olympics and Paralympics, Channel Nine will offer Australians round-the-clock coverage of this year’s games. The broadcaster will guide viewers through 32 sports in 329 events, featuring Australia’s most revered athletic talent as commentators and experts.

This partnership between AE Live and Channel Nine underscores the importance of strategic collaborations in delivering top-tier sports broadcasting, ensuring audiences receive an unparalleled viewing experience.
