Hockey Australia has secured long-term support in its preparations for the 2028 Olympic Games, with global human services provider APM renewing its partnership for another three years.
The extension maintains APM as Major Partner of the Hockeyroos, Official Partner of the Kookaburras, and Hockey Australia’s Exclusive Category Partner.
Commenting on the partnership, Hockeyroo, Grace Young, said the ongoing backing provides confidence as the national team builds toward LA 2028.
“Knowing we’ve got their support, not just financially but in providing opportunities like jobs for players, makes a massive difference.”
Emphasising the shared mission behind the renewed commitment, Hockey Australia CEO, David Pryles, added: “APM’s commitment to enabling better lives aligns perfectly with our belief that hockey should be a sport for everyone.”
“We’re thrilled to continue building on this momentum over the next three years,” Pryles said.
Sharing how the partnership continues to reflect the organisation’s core purpose, APM Group CEO, Michael Anghie, noted: “This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to inclusion and opportunity.”
“We’ll continue working together to make hockey more accessible and inclusive, while supporting meaningful pathways that enable better lives,” Anghie expressed.
Since the partnership began, programs such as the APM Hockey for All Clinics and the Inclusive Hookin2Hockey Handbook have played key roles in supporting participation for individuals of all abilities.
Over the next phase, the partnership will expand its focus with initiatives designed to provide employment pathways for female athletes, strengthen inclusion education across clubs, and increase access for aspiring players with disabilities.
Planned developments include dedicated APM Sensory Rooms at major events, expanded All Abilities Clinics for young players aged 5–12, and structured work experience placements for high performance athletes.
