In a significant move for Queensland tennis, Cameron Pearson has been appointed as the new CEO of Tennis Queensland (TQ), marking a return to a role he previously held from 2010 to 2016. The announcement comes after a comprehensive recruitment process, positioning Pearson to once again lead the organization as it continues to capitalize on recent growth and opportunities in the sport.

He will continue his role as Brisbane International Tournament Director while focusing on driving tennis growth across Queensland. As the new CEO, Pearson’s return is expected to further strengthen Tennis Queensland’s initiatives, focusing on expanding participation as tennis continues to attract diverse demographics across Australia. Pearson’s leadership will be key in navigating these opportunities, working closely with clubs, coaches, and partners to build a vibrant future for tennis in Queensland.

The Board also thanked Kim Kachel for his contributions as he departs to join Tennis Victoria. Pearson is eager to build on the team’s efforts and strengthen the state’s tennis community.
