In another broadcasting win, Optus Sport has secured the Emirates FA Cup, the longest-running national knockout football cup competition globally, for the next four years.
Starting in November 2024, Optus Sport subscribers will have exclusive access to the tournament, featuring some of England’s most prestigious football clubs, including the defending champions, Manchester United, who secured a thrilling victory over rivals Manchester City in the recent final.
Having originated in 1871, the Emirates FA Cup holds a rich history, with 44 different clubs laying claim to the title. Arsenal stands out as the most successful team, having hoisted the coveted trophy aloft an impressive 14 times.
Football fans can look forward to the FA Cup’s first-round action kicking off on November 2, with Optus Sport offering exclusive live coverage throughout the tournament culminating in the final showdown at Wembley in May 2025.
