Bombers Renew Craft Beer Agreement Until 2020

Colonial Brewing Company has extended its agreement with Essendon Bombers to remain the official beer and cider partner until at least the end of 2020.

The Australian craft brewery will support the club’s events throughout the 2019 and 2020 seasons respectively, including the annual Grand Final Comedy Debate and the prestigious Crichton Medal.

Under the new agreement, Colonial Brewing will release a revamped Bomber Beer in time for the commencement of the 2019 home-and-away season, which will be available to all members and supporters.

Essendon Chief Commercial Officer, Justin Rodski, said the club was pleased to continue its partnership with Colonial Brewing Company, which boasts venues in both Port Melbourne and Margaret River in Western Australia.

“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Colonial Brewing Company – a relationship that we truly value,” Rodski said.

“There is something unique being the only AFL club with an independent, Australian-owned craft beer company as a partner.

“We know this partnership will continue to deliver our members, supporters and guests a wonderful choice of fine craft beers and cider at our home games and functions throughout next season and beyond.

“Colonial Brewing will extend its support to the Bomber faithful, with great deals and offers over the next two years, the key to which is creating a true home away from home at the brewery in Port Melbourne for our fans and members to gather for interstate games.

“We are very appreciative of the genuine partnership that we have formed with Colonial Brewing Company and thank them for their ongoing support of Essendon.”

General Manager of Colonial Brewing Company, Lawrence Dowd, said he was delighted to continue the partnership with the Bombers.

‘We are really excited to extend our special partnership with Essendon Football Club,” Dowd said.

“AFL is ingrained into the Melbourne culture so we are pleased to be aligned and part of such an iconic club bringing new offers to their members and supporters.”

The Bombers will take on the Giants in Round 1 2019.
