Global sports technology company, Sportradar, has renewed its partnerships with the grade cricket competitions in Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia.

The three-year deals cement Sportradar as the official streaming partner of grade cricket in these states, to add to existing deals with the rest of the Australian states and territories.

Sportradar’s streaming system, Frogbox, captured 1.36 million balls last year across 3,000 local cricket teams.

The partnership aims to give more people access to high-quality local grassroots cricket to foster a sense of community.

The agreement also creates a database for professional teams to identify talented, uncontracted cricketers.

Sportradar’s head of cricket, Jarod Pickering, summarised: “Premier Cricket competitions are an important pillar connecting community cricket with elite cricket pathways.”

“These partnerships have allowed us to build relationships and digital experiences to make visible emerging talent to more fans, boost engagement and create new sponsorship opportunities. We are committed to adding value to our partners and seeing grassroots cricket thrive in Australia,” he said.
