Zipmex Partners With NRL & A-League Teams

Crypto trading platform, Zipmex, has partnered with teams from Australia’s A-League Men’s soccer league and National Rugby League (NRL), in order to expand and create greater engagement in the Australian community.

On Monday it was announced that Zipmex would join forces with the 2021 NRL Grand Final winners, Penrith Panthers, as well as the A-League Men’s Central Coast Mariners, who have won two national championships.

In line with the partnerships, Zipmex said they will host a series of workshops within the sports communities in order to improve crypto literacy.

They will also offer fans giveaways of digital coins and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), including airdrops of up to AU$500 worth of Bitcoin and giveaways of Ethereum and NFTs launched by NRL players such as Ryan Papenhuyzen and Kenny Bromwhich.

Zipmex Australia, country manager, Nathan Halliday, said, “We are excited to partner with Penrith Panthers and Central Coast Mariners, both being some of the most community-focused professional sporting clubs in Australia, as well as three other local up-and-rising rugby leagues and football teams.”

“We have expanded our sponsorships to support local communities in order to advocate easy crypto access for fans.

“We have always focused on education and these partnerships allow us to deeply engage with these communities and help them to get started with digital assets in a safe way,” Halliday said.

In March, Zipmex received an investment of US$11 million (AUD$15.38 million) from investors including B Capital, TNB Aura, Bank of Ayudhya’s Krungsri Finnovate, Master Ad, and MindWorks Capital, bringing its total funding to US$52 million (AUD$72.7 million).
