WWE extends Fanatics collaboration with five-day fan experience

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has announced an expansion of its collaboration with the digital sports platform and e-commerce leader, Fanatics. This partnership will bring forth an engaging fan experience centred around the Wrestlemania XL event.

Dubbed the WWE World at WrestleMania, this event is the result of a joint effort between WWE and Fanatics’ innovative division, Fanatics Events. Set to take place over five days from April 4-8 at the Pennsylvania Convention Centre in Philadelphia, fans can expect a plethora of interactive experiences.

Tickets for the event will be available in a range of prices, from $30 to $300. The festivities will feature a main stage for roundtable discussions with WWE stars, a thrilling WWE 2k24 gaming tournament, live podcast recordings, as well as opportunities for fans to purchase memorabilia and autographs through Fanatics Live.

Attendees can look forward to merchandise stands, autograph sessions, and meet-and-greets with both current WWE superstars and legendary figures from the wrestling world.

“Fanatics Events is thrilled to partner with WWE to host our debut event, WWE World at WrestleMania,” said Lance Fensterman, CEO of Fanatics Events.

“Through unique content, Superstar access, and immersive experiences, we look forward to curating a captivating event for all fans who are in Philadelphia for WWE’s marquee event.”

Fanatics Events, a division launched by Fanatics in July, aims to reimagine traditional collectible gatherings and card shows, with a focus on providing unique experiences for fans of sports and entertainment.

Scott Zanghellini, WWE co-head of revenue strategy and development, added, “Fanatics has a phenomenal ability to customise offerings for fans and we’re excited to partner with them on this first-of-its-kind experience for the WWE Universe at WrestleMania XL.”

This collaboration builds upon the existing partnership between WWE and Fanatics, which began in March 2022. The ongoing partnership spans various aspects of e-commerce, merchandise, trading cards, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), with the goal of enhancing the fan experience globally.

Fanatics, known for its extensive portfolio of sports partnerships, has expanded its reach into the world of professional wrestling with this collaboration with WWE. The company’s expertise in merchandise creation, distribution and event retail management aligns well with WWE’s goals of providing fans with top-notch experiences both in-person and online.

In addition to its partnership with WWE, Fanatics has secured numerous other sports partnerships globally, including prominent football clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as organisations such as UEFA and Formula 1.

This partnership expansion comes on the heels of Endeavor’s completion of a deal to merge WWE with the UFC under the new publicly listed company TKO Group. As a result, TKO now boasts an impressive global fanbase and a robust portfolio of live events.
