The World Surf League (WSL) and mophie have announced an extension of their partnership into the 2024 season, expanding it to include two more Championship Tour (CT) events in the Asia Pacific region.

The World Surf League (WSL) is the global home of competitive surfing, crowning world champions since 1976 and showcasing the world’s best surfing. With a firm commitment to its values, the WSL prioritises the protection of the ocean, equality and the sport’s rich heritage, while championing progression and innovation.

mophie is a leading manufacturer of portable power banks and wireless mobile chargers. Dedicated to pushing the boundaries of mobile technology, mophie caters to the young at heart, ensuring that a zest for life is never hindered by limited battery life or storage constraints. Recognised for their stylish yet powerful portable power solutions, mophie seamlessly integrates hardware, software and design, empowering the mobile world to ‘Stay Powerful’.

mophie is set to activate as the ‘Official Portable Power’ partner at the iconic Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach and the much-anticipated return of the Fiji Pro in 2024. Delivering portable power solutions as charging stations at the event site and in the channel for athletes, staff and media, mophie continues to enhance the overall experience for all involved.

“mophie was a fantastic partner last year, and we’re excited to see them commit again in 2024 and expand on their partnership to include two more major events in Asia Pacific,” said WSL APAC President Andrew Stark.

“There is a powerful synergy between mophie and WSL’s events, and we thank mophie for seeing this and continuing to grow their support.”

The partnership will also introduce the ‘Charger of the Event powered by mophie’, featured in the broadcast. This segment will showcase a highlight reel of the athlete demonstrating the utmost commitment during the designated events.

“We are stoked to extend our partnership with mophie and the World Surf League into 2024,” said Brad Bricknell, mophie Marketing Manager ANZ.

“Our first event in Tahiti last year was an absolute success, and we are excited to build on that experience with two additional event partnerships next year. The product and brand fit seamlessly with the world tour lifestyle, and between athletes, media and staff, the practical use applications for portable power are an important driver for our involvement.”
