WNBA superstar and entrepreneur, Angel Reese, has officially joined the Brisbane Bullets ownership group.
The announcement, made on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, adds global star power to the franchise as it focuses toward a new era of growth and a potential expansion into the women’s league.
Reese joins the investment group led by majority owner Jason Levien and co-owner Ben Haan. This move follows her high-profile visit to Australia with Reebok to launch new colorways of her signature Angel Reese 1 basketball shoe. During that visit, it was also revealed that Reebok will become the official footwear partner of the WNBL starting in 2027.
Beyond her influence on the men’s NBL side, Reese’s involvement is a cornerstone of the Bullets’ bid to secure the 10th WNBL license. Brisbane is currently vying to return a professional women’s team to the city, following in the footsteps of Tasmania’s recent entry into the league.
Highlighting the cultural impact of the signing, Bullets CEO, Malcolm Watts, said: “Angel is a fantastic ambassador for basketball and a globally recognised superstar.”
“Basketball is Queensland’s fastest-growing sport, and having Angel involved as we pursue a WNBL team is a huge asset,” He said.
