Western Bulldogs Launch Inaugural Performance School Partnerships to Expand Regional Pathways

The Western Bulldogs have officially launched their inaugural Performance School program, establishing a community partnership with Catholic Regional College North Keilor and Catholic Regional College Sydenham.

Designed to strengthen grassroots football pathways across Melbourne’s west, the multi-faceted initiative integrates professional club expertise directly into the schools’ sports academy curricula, placing a dedicated focus on technical football craft, advanced athletic development, holistic player wellbeing, and vital career exposure within the professional sporting industry.

Sharing the importance of connecting students with sporting structures to foster comprehensive personal and athletic growth, Bulldogs head of development, Luke Power, said: “This program is about opening doors for young people and giving them the chance to grow, both as athletes and as people.”

“We want students to experience what a high-performance environment looks and feels like, while also highlighting the many different pathways and opportunities that exist within our game and Club.

“CRC North Keilor and CRC Sydenham share our focus on development, wellbeing and education, so together we can create an environment where students feel supported to pursue their goals both on thefield and off it,” Power said. 

Echoing the institutional value of the collaboration for student athletes, CRC North Keilor head of sports academy, Rudy Ramos, added: “This partnership is much more than football – it represents our commitment to providing young people with opportunities that will shape their future.”
