Vodafone Offical Wimbledon Partner

Joining some of the longest running partnerships, such as Robinsons who have been a Wimbledon partner since 1935, Vodafone is the latest partner of British Tennis.

Other partnerships have been a total of 14 sponsors: Slazenger, Robinsons, IBM, Lanson, Ralph Lauren, HSBC, Evian, Lavazza, Stella Artois, Jaguar Land Rover, Pimm’s, American Express, OPPO and Sipsmith.

Wimbledon Tennis has announced Vodafone as the official connectivity partner for the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) and The Championships.

Commercial Director of the AELTC, Gus Henderson, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Vodafone as the official connectivity partner of The Championships.

“We are looking forward to seeing how Vodafone will create unique experiences to bring our fans even closer to the action at Wimbledon this summer.” He continued.

Vodafone will use its 5G networks to create augmented and virtual realities for fans to give a more immersive viewing experience.

Vodafone consumer director, Max Taylor, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to use our connectivity to deliver a world-class experience for fans both on and off the court.”

Vodafone is also in the process of creating a new grassroots competition with the AELTC.

British tennis players Laura Robson and Tim Henman will be working with Vodafone to inspire people to engage with tennis more.

Laura Robson, said: “British tennis is going from strength to strength right now, and it’s so exciting to see where we could end up.

“I’m delighted to be teaming up with Vodafone to help encourage as many people as possible to pick up a racket.” She added.
