UEFA, Expedia Group Continue Helping Fans Travel

The Union of European Football Association (UEFA), has announced a partnership extension with online travel hub, Expedia, which makes them an official regional partner in the United States.

The extension will see the Expedia Live Travel Hub assist fans from United Kingdom, France, and Germany travel to away matches in foreign cities, book accommodation, and have access to city guides.

Additionally, Expedia’s global supplier and licensing rights will come into effect from the start of this year’s knockout stages, and will run through the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League competition.

Commenting on the extension, UEFA marketing director, Guy-Laurent Epstein, said: “We are very pleased that Expedia Group has chosen to extend its involvement with UEFA’s flagship club competition with these two exciting deals.”

“The Expedia Group has been a committed UEFA partner since 2018, and we are sure that these new ventures will help fans to follow the world’s greatest club competition even more closely,” he said.

Expedia SVP global brand, Michelle Rousseau added: “Ultimately, nothing beats being there and Expedia® Live lets fans book their travel and provides everything they need to fully explore a city beyond the game’s 90 minutes.”

This announcement comes after UEFA partnered with CONMEBOL to establish the league’s coaching development.
