The Minnesota Twins, alongside their six affiliated minor league teams, have unveiled plans for their fourth annual Minnesota Twins Week of Service, set for May 7-14.

This program underscores the organisation’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, stretching from the Twin Cities to the Dominican Republic.

Commenting on the initiatives, Derek Falvey, president of baseball & business operations for the Twins, highlighted the significance of this week, stating,

“The Minnesota Twins Week of Service reminds us that baseball is bigger than the game; it’s about showing up for our communities the same way they show up for us,” Falvey said.

“This week isn’t about checking a box; it’s about continuing a tradition of care, rooted in the belief that we’re stronger when we act together with others in mind.” he said.

During the Week of Service, players, coaches, clubhouse staff, and front office personnel will participate in various volunteer activities alongside community partners.

In addition to these efforts, the Twins will donate to a nonprofit organisation chosen by each of their minor league affiliates.

This year’s event will also feature the Minnesota Twins Community Fund’s Annual Nike RBI Glove Giveaway, where thousands of gloves will be distributed to youth in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
