The 2026 Toyota Good for Footy Raffle has achieved a record-breaking financial milestone, raising over $1.25 million to support grassroots Australian Rules Football clubs and community groups nationwide.
Exceeding its core fundraising target, the annual digital fundraising initiative delivered a nearly seven per cent increase compared to the previous year, with 673 participating organisations spanning every state and territory.
By allowing local clubs to retain one hundred per cent of ticket sales, the program equips community sporting bodies with vital capital to upgrade facilities, acquire equipment, and sustain participation programs.
Highlighting the profound community impact and commercial commitment underpinning the long-running sponsorship program, Toyota Australia chief marketing officer, Vin Naidoo , said: “Toyota has always believed in the power of sport to bring people together, and we’re incredibly proud to support Australian sport at every level, from grassroots through to the elite level,”
“This record-breaking result is a fantastic reflection of the passion behind grassroots AFL, with players, volunteers, members and supporters across the country getting behind their local clubs.
“It also reinforces Toyota’s place in the fabric of Australian communities, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to giving back and supporting grassroots sport across the country,” Naidoo said.
Reinforcing the operational role community clubs play in maintaining the sport’s national ecosystem, AFL executive general manager – game development, Rob Auld, added: “Community football clubs are at the heart of towns and suburbs across Australia, and the funds raised through the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle will make a genuine difference to the people who keep them running.”
“To see more than 670 clubs and community groups involved, and a record $1.25 million raised, is a terrific result.
“We thank Toyota for its continued support and congratulate every player, volunteer, member and supporter who got behind their local club,” Auld stated.
Since its inception in 2015, the Good for Footy Raffle has generated over $10 million in cumulative funding for community football. With planning already underway for the 2027 campaign.
