Touch Football Australia Appoints Emily Robinson as ACT & Southern NSW Growth Manager

Touch Football Australia has announced the appointment of Emily Robinson as Growth Manager for the ACT and Southern NSW, commencing on August 17, 2026.

Jointly funded by Touch Football Australia and NSW Touch Football, the newly created role highlights a collaborative, cross-border commercial approach designed to accelerate participation growth and build affiliate capability under the national governing body’s strategic framework, The Next Play.

Robinson brings over a decade of high-level experience across community sports administration, pathways development, and operational management. Her professional background includes serving as sports operations manager at Radford College alongside key leadership roles with the Illawarra Academy of Sport and Netball NSW, where she successfully spearheaded participation initiatives, large-scale sporting operations, and inclusive community programs.

Operating under the leadership of Touch Football Australia’s general manager of Growth and Innovation, Robinson will drive regional strategy, partnering closely with key stakeholders including the ACT Government, Canberra Raiders, West South-West Suns, and local affiliates to ensure long-term sustainability.

Highlighting the importance of the joint venture, Touch Football Australia CEO, Marcus Ashcroft, said: “Emily brings an outstanding combination of community sport experience, leadership, and a genuine passion for Touch, making her an excellent fit for us to take a step forward in delivering The Next Play.”

The recruitment process also benefited from extensive community consultation, with contributions from West South-West Suns Regional Director Chris Dolahenty and Canberra Touch Association interim chair, Joel Anderson.

In addition to her professional credentials, Robinson brings extensive firsthand experience as a player, coach, and volunteer, currently serving as School Sport Under-12 Girls Manager while remaining actively involved with the Canberra City Magic and Wollongong Touch Association.
