Top WNBL Commercial Partnerships: Boomers, Flyers, More

With the 2021/22 WNBL season due to begin on 2 December, here are the latest commercial partnerships throughout the league.

Deakin Melbourne Boomers

The Boomers have partnered with Australian skin care company Sukin.

The skin care company have partnered with the team to not only promote nutrition and fitness, but overall health and wellness, including having a good skin care regime.

Sukin marketing director, Lauren Oetomo, said: “Sukin’s latest ‘Journey to Better’ campaign is all about making small changes today, that will have a positive impact on us and our planet in the future.”

“We believe that this movement ties in perfectly with what the Boomers athletes do on a day-to-day basis, making small changes and improvements daily to better their overall performance on the court,” she said.

The Boomers have also announced a second partnership with Australian footwear company, Styletread.

Deakin Melbourne Boomers general manager, Christy Collier-Hill, said: “At the Boomers we are committed to growing women’s basketball and women’s sport, but to do that we need the help of strong partners such as Styletread.”

“Jay and the team at Styletread are a values-driven organisation that we are really excited to partner with,” Collier-Hill said.

Southside Flyers

The Jayco Southside Flyers have announced a new partnership with Dandenong MG.

The partnership will see players drive exclusive Flyers/Dandenong MG branded MG cars throughout the season.

MG marketing manager, Glen Feathersonhaugh, said: “Dandenong MG are very pleased to partner with the Jayco Southside Flyers for the 2021-22 WNBL season.”

“We value being able to contribute to such a successful basketball club and aligning ourselves with the team’s values and supporting women in basketball and sport in general,” he said.

University of Canberra Capitals

The Caps have renewed their partnership with BentSpoke for another three years.

Together, the partnership has bolstered support for the team within Canberra.

BentSpoke will be present at all home and away games for the next three years.

Caps general manager, Lucille Bailie, said: “We’re delighted to work with another iconic Canberra business and know that Caps fans will appreciate the opportunity to enjoy watching games with a chilled Barley Griffin in hand over the coming WNBL season.”
