With fixtures recently released for the 2021 Super Netball season, catch up on some commercial partnerships you may have missed.
Netball Victoria have announced compression supplier 2XU as official partner of the Melbourne Vixens and community netball for the next two years.
As part of the deal, the sporting company will provide training and recovery kits for the Vixens, along with discounts to Netball Victoria members through the duration of the deal.
Netball Victoria business development manager, Aaron Bosse, said having high standards in their partnership deals is crucial to maintaining a high performance standard at the club.
“We’re a high performing team and a leading club across Suncorp Super Netball, so it was important that we’re aligning with brands that are industry leaders in their own field too,” Bosse said.
“As a long-standing compression brand known for their cutting-edge technologies and high-quality garments, 2XU was a natural fit for us.
“They currently supply a number of other high profile national teams in Australia, so we look forward to working with 2XU in gaining a further competitive edge leading into the 2021 season,” he said.
Elsewhere, the NSW Swifts have launched a grassroot membership initiative to allow young fans the opportunity to see their team in action.
Each membership provides seating for four people to every Swifts home fixture, with netball clubs and associations receiving a 30% discount when they purchase a Swifts club membership on behalf of players, coaches and volunteers.
Moving to Adelaide, and the Thunderbirds have announced Valour Sport as their official apparel partner until 2024.
Director of valour sport, Matthew Knight, said the partnership was a great opportunity for the company to give back to South Australian netball.
“It is a great privilege and a proud moment for our company to supply such an iconic Australian sporting franchise like the Adelaide Thunderbirds,” Knight said,
“Over the past 10 years, Valour Sport has been well supported by the state of South Australia through our community sporting partners and education-based clients,” he said.
